Perhaps you’re asking what IS this picture? It will shock, amaze and perhaps even disgust you.
This, Intrepid Web Surfers (IWS’s), is a magnified close up of my chin. As you can see, I haven’t shaved for a few days. Those thick dark fibrous filaments sprouting from my skin, are stubble. Now for the shocking part. Those light, almost invisible strands to the left of the photo, are also stubble hairs. Which means, shock, horror, gulp, that I’m going grey. And that means, ladies and gentleman, that I am officially getting OLD.
And that my IWS’s, is a very sobering realisation.
It makes me think of how far I’ve come and where I’m going. Of how it could be, that success continues to evade me… and how I shall trap the crafty bugger before it is all too late!
You are only as old as you think, feel and act, notwithstanding having a baby in the house.
They make you feel older.
On the other hand, I started reading a book called “The Pocket Muse” the other day, by Monica Wood. On the first page it says, “What are you waiting for? If not now, when?” Hmmm…it made me think.
At any rate, you might be interested in the free e-book “Write Today: Balancing Writing with Parenting” at http://angelagilesklocke.com/free/ebook.html I’m off to download it right now myself…

Now is the time to stop shaving and become the distinguished gentleman of letters!
I love a man with a furry face!
Also, having a child makes everyone exhausted and any other health issues are cubed. They do grow up….and it seems short after it is all over with.

It can be a challenge to write with a child in the house. I know I get almost nothing done until after my son’s in bed. However, he getting old enough to do some stuff on his own (organized stuff), so the past couple of weeks I’ve taken my writing book to swimming with me and I spend half time watching him the other half writing. It’s not much but every little bit helps.
And in response to your previous post, no I don’t think they get tired, at least not when we expect them. My son generallygoes until he crashes and then it’s too late to put him to bed because he’s so crabby. But you learn when the right time is and how to put him to sleep. Lucky for us we’ve never had any big problems getting Ayden to sleep.
